The SEC has adopted Regulation S-P which requires all investment advisers, broker-dealers, and investment companies to disclose how they treat nonpublic information. The rule took effect on November 13, and the mandatory compliance date is July 1, 2001. In response to this new law, we would like to provide you with the following information.
CornerCap collects nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
Information we receive from you on applications and other forms;
Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and
Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency (in the case of lost account shareholders).
We would like you to know that we do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone outside our firm, except as permitted by law. Furthermore, we restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. In order to accomplish this, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
